Week one down....

Today I logged my first longish run of 2012, and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. Who doesn't love to run in shorts and a t-shirt with 50 degree weather in January? Who I ask you? On top of that, the sun was out. Hello, GORGEOUS! (Only weird thing was the first 100 meters on Log Inn Road...I swear that section of road was ten degrees cooler than anywhere else on the run.)

Anyway, the run felt really good. I stretched out a little bit and just felt the road beneath my feet. Though I ran a slightly faster pace than I would have liked, the pace does bode well for finishing the Disney Princess half marathon next month in my goal time of 1:50:00. Well, I think that puts a nice punctuation point on the first seven days of 2012. Tomorrow I may take a day off and only strength train, if that's the case, I'll see you all Monday!

Stats -
Miles: 7.0
Time: 1:00:43 (average pace of 8:40 per mile)
Location: Woods Landing to Podickory Point
Feeling: settled and enjoying life
