Today I'm dancing (or just plain looking silly) while running. No really, I saw this great picture (over there on the right) on the Zooma facebook page today, which I'm fairly certain sums up how I look when I run (umm, the chica at the bottom, not the top...though I wish). I'm not ashamed, at least I'm moving. Anyway, I thought I'd like to see how it felt to not only look like the lower half of the photo, but feel like that's how I look too. What better time to go for the silly factor than when I'm hitting another running milestone? Oh yeah, did I mention I surpassed the 400 mile mark today? I say there is no better time, so go for it, which I did cruising around during today's run. It was fun, it was freeing, it was worth any crazy looks from passersby. (Sorry folks, but no, I'm not headed for the loony bin.)![]() |
| This is what 400 miles looks like! |
In all, I'm proud of the 40% run. Could it have been faster, stronger, longer? Sure, but I'm not going to complain. After all, I enjoyed it and was thoroughly amused. Happy trails!!!
Stats -
Miles: 5.33
Time: 45:26 (average pace of 8:31 per mile)
Location: Capitol Hill, Lincoln Park, Stanton Park
Feeling: I was a little parched, need to hydrate better, but the run was good
